I believe that one style of therapy doesn't suit all people and I practice as an Integrated and Person Centred Therapist which means the training, knowledge and experience I have, enables me to help you by using one of, or a blend of therapies such as Psychodynamic, Psychoanalysis, Transactional Analysis, Gestalt Therapy and the following:

  • ​CBT  (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) - Based on the concept that your thoughts, feelings, physical sensations and actions are interconnected, and that negative thoughts and feelings can trap you in a cycle that doesn't serve you. This therapy involves changing those patterns.
     

  • Mindfulness - Is reconnecting with your body and the sensations it experiences. This means waking up to the sights, sounds, smells and tastes of the present moment and being aware of your thoughts and feelings as they happen moment to moment. Being grounded in the moment can help to reduce stress and anxiety.
     

  • NLP (Neuro-linguistic programming) - We form our unique internal mental maps of the world as a product of the way we filter and perceive information absorbed through our five senses from the world around us. Understanding and changing these can influence positive change and get rid of old beliefs that hinder your life.
     

  • Hypnotherapy -  There any many myths about hypnotherapy, but it's a normal state of mind. It's relaxing and rewarding,  achieves great results and works by accessing your subconscious mind to make positive suggestions. This is achieved by getting into a deeply relaxed state using relaxation techniques.

    A deepening visualisation takes you even deeper into relaxation. When you’re in a deeply relaxed state, your subconscious is more responsive to suggestions than if you were in a fully conscious state.


    The suggestion words used in hypnotherapy channels directly to the subconscious, where it effortlessly modifies behaviours or beliefs to produces a positive effect or action. After the suggestion work is complete you are gently brought back into full consciousness. Throughout this process you remain fully in control and can wake up at any time. It's a natural state of mind and is not harmful.
